SCHEDULES COMING SOON

The Schedule for the 2011 Showcase will be released by the end of the week. With allt he out-of-state teams making arrangements and some teams involved in finals we have had to make several adjustments to the schedule.

The schedule is completed but we are double and triple checking to make sure everything is in order to be published.

SHOWCASE FEATURES NATIONS TOP TEAMS

The 2011 Nolan Showcase hosted by Nolan Catholic and Southlake Carroll once again feature the nations best teams and will help determine the nations #1 team. "It is where the best teams come to play," commented showcase co-director Jay Fitzgerald.

ESPNRise has released the national rankings for the 2010-2011 known at the Powerade FAB 50 National Rankings. The Nolan Showcase will feature 5 teams that are in the Top 10 and 4 of those teams are in the TOP 5.

See below teams that are ranked in the TOP 10 that will once again be participating in this years showcase...

#1 McKinney Boyd (McKinney, Texas)
McKinney Boyd came within a whisker of an beaten season last year, losing in the state final to The Woodlands. This year's team could be every bit as strong as last year's. Kelley Monogue (Texas A&M), Meghan Streight (Texas A&M), Kara Dugall and Lauren Katada (Texas-El Paso) return from last year's 28-1-3 team.

#2 Coppell (Coppell, Texas)
Chioma Ubogagu, a Stanford commit, highlights a team loaded with talent. Thirteen players return from last year's 19-win team. The team will be tested at the Nolan Showcase and in matches against highly competitive District 6-5A league opponents.

#4 Ursuline (Dallas, Texas)
Ursuline returns 16 players from last year's 17-1 team that won the state's private school state title for the 20th straight year. Emily Hoffend and Jana Jeffrey have committed to Boston College. Katie Hosea (Arkansas State), Jordan Grimes (McNeese State), Natalie Huggins (Baylor) and Ali Alcott (Belmont) are also bound for NCAA Division I programs.

#5 San Clemente (San Clemente, Calif.)
Yale commit Frannie Coxe, the reigning CIF-Southern Section Division I Offensive Player of the Year, forward Tessa Andujar and Alex Reisinger (Lafayette) return for the 2010 CIF-Southern Region runners-up.

#10 Plano West (Plano, Texas)
With youth national team keeper Abby Smith in net, Plano West is in every game. The program underwent a youth movement last year which resulted in four freshmen making all-district first-team and then-sophomore Smith earning the Defensive Player of the Year award. Texas commit Whitney Janes was a first-team pick, as well. In total, Plano West brings back six all-league players.
